UI/UX Design

Design people can use without thinking.

Research, wireframes and interface design for websites and apps, tested with real users before development starts.

Overview

UI/UX Design

Where it sits in the customer journey

  • Convert

Nobody notices good design. People find what they came for, finish what they started and leave without a second thought. UI/UX design is the work of making that happen on purpose.

We start with the people who will use the product, map what they are trying to get done, and test rough versions before anything is polished. By the time a developer opens the file, the hard questions have been put to real users instead of being settled in a meeting.

A good fit when

  • You are planning a new website, app or product and want it tested before it is built.
  • People start to sign up, book or check out, and too many give up partway.
  • Every new page or feature looks slightly different, and nobody owns the design.

Scope

What's included

The work UI/UX Design covers. The exact mix is agreed with you in the plan, and anything that is not needed yet is left out.

01

User research and interviews

Conversations with customers, plus a review of analytics, support tickets and recordings, to learn what people are trying to do and where they get stuck.

02

User flows and information architecture

Each task drawn step by step, and a navigation structure that matches how people look for things.

03

Wireframes and interactive prototypes

Layouts in plain boxes first, then a clickable version close enough to the real thing to put in front of users.

04

Interface design for web and mobile

Finished screens for each screen size, including loading, error and empty states, checked for contrast and readable type.

05

Design systems and component libraries

Colors, type, spacing and reusable components in one Figma library, so new screens are assembled instead of redrawn.

06

Usability testing and developer handoff

Task-based sessions with people from your audience, then annotated files and a walkthrough for whoever builds it.

Method

How we approach it

Every UI/UX Design engagement follows the same sequence, in this order, so nothing is built on guesses.

  1. Step 01

    Learn who it is for

We talk to customers and to the people on your team who hear from them, and review whatever data the current product already produces.

  2. Step 02

Map the flow before the screen

Each key task is drawn as a sequence of steps. A problem is far cheaper to fix on a diagram than in a finished design.

  3. Step 03

    Prototype and test

A clickable prototype goes in front of real users, who are asked to complete tasks while we watch where they hesitate.

  4. Step 04

    Design, document, hand over

What tested well becomes the finished interface, built from documented components and handed to developers with the detail they need.

Measurement

What we measure

The numbers that go into every UI/UX Design report, and the reason each one earns its place.

These are the metrics we track, not promised results. Targets are set with you once we have seen your baseline.

Task completion rate
The share of test participants who finish a task without help. It is the most direct sign of whether a design works.
Time on task
How long a key task takes from start to finish. Comparing rounds shows whether a flow is getting simpler or only prettier.
Error and drop-off points
Where people mis-tap, backtrack or abandon a flow, in testing and in live analytics. Each one is a specific thing to fix.
Conversion on redesigned flows
Sign-ups, bookings or purchases through the screens we worked on, compared before and after launch.

UI/UX Design is the research and design work on its own: flows, prototypes, tested interfaces and a design system, for a website, an app or a product. Web Development is the build: turning approved designs into a fast WordPress site or Shopify store and launching it. Many projects use both, with the design work feeding straight into the build.

Yes. We design web apps, dashboards, mobile apps and checkout or booking flows as well as marketing sites. Mobile work follows the conventions of iOS and Android, so the result feels familiar on each.

People who match your audience. Where you have customers willing to take part, we recruit from them. Otherwise we use a testing panel and screen for the right profile. A handful of sessions per round is usually enough to bring the main problems to the surface.

Yes. We design inside your brand guidelines and extend them where they do not yet cover digital products. Files are handed over in Figma with specifications, and the build can stay with your developers or move to our web team.
